And More!

Daniel’s JI having great fun exploring different ways to problem solve with the new maths curriculum 😊

Both 2nd classes have begun literacy power hour twice a week and are enjoying reading, writing and word work stations.

Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Assembly – Value of the month Unity

We had such good fun making our Stop motion animations based on the theme ‘Unity Is Strength’. We brainstormed how to cooperate and work in unity. Here are the strategies we came up with:

  • Voting
  • Rock, paper, scissors
  • Blending two ideas together
  • Making a new idea

We gave praise and feedback to each other and suggested ways to make our Stop motions even better. So, lots of groups added audio recordings and slowed down their frames.

We are so proud of our work, practicing new skills and the long process it took to create our Stop motions. Maeve

I was thoroughly impressed today not just by the talented outcome of this work but also at how the class explained the process to me, it was a great example of reflective learning along with building cooperation and resilience. Make sure to take a look below. There are eight different examples of how togetherness brings great results.

Maths Week Event

We’ve been invited to host a visit tomorrow from the Minister for Finance and Math’s Week Co-ordinator. The 5th class children will work through a budget exercise and the Minister for Finance, Pascal, will speak with the class. This should be an interesting and informative opportunity for the children.

WOW! Another incredible unmissable edition by many of our multi-talented pupils who are doing this of their own volition, you blow me away, well done guys.

Fundraiser

As per our tradition everyone is invited to dress up tomorrow and to bring in a €1/€2 in support of Trick or Treat for Temple Street.

Tomorrow is also Educate Together’s One Day Together fundraiser. We fully support this but we will hold off on making our contribution until November.
