And More!

Daniel’s JI having great fun exploring different ways to problem solve with the new maths curriculum 😊

Both 2nd classes have begun literacy power hour twice a week and are enjoying reading, writing and word work stations.

Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Please see this important new Digital Device Policy (click here to read) as a result of the recent circular from the Department banning all phones in school. This supports our  Parent Pact and Smart Phone Free childhood movement.

Assembly

Thanks to Alison’s and Aoife/Naomi’s classes, we had beautiful assemblies to reflect on and celebrate all the work on Friendship in this month.  See our Gaeilgeoirí na Míosa below.

Modern Foreign Languages

5th and 6th class students will be introduced to either French or Spanish over the coming months. Relevant parents will receive an information leaflet soon.

Wellbeing Focus: Yoga

This month, pupils across the school have been enjoying short, age-appropriate yoga activities. Yoga helps children build strength, balance, and flexibility, while also supporting calm breathing, focus, and emotional regulation.

Activities are kept short, fun, and non-competitive, and are often used before or after yard time or during transitions to help children feel settled and ready to learn.

Please see the photos below of pupils taking part in yoga activities in school.

🏡 Try Yoga at Home Families might like to try these simple poses together:

  • Tree Pose 🌳 – stand on one leg, arms up like branches
  • Butterfly Pose 🦋 – sit with feet together and gently flap knees
  • Cat–Cow 🐱🐮 – on hands and knees, round and dip the back slowly

And More!

Lisa's class having lots of fun doing athletics sessions with our coach! This week we focused on long jump.

We had great fun in Dee's Senior Infants, with our mystery reader Leighann last Friday, with special guests Albie and Joni on their first Birthday, and cousins to help!

We also had Katy’s class with us helping with our reading as Gaeilge …. Thank you guys. Dee

Fun start to school today

Happy St. Brigid’s Day! Artwork from Áine’s 6th class.

Play Therapist, Regina, will be on the RTE Radio 1 Oliver Callan show on Tuesday, 3rd February between 11am and 1pm if you would like to tune in to listen to her.
