And More!
Daniel’s JI having great fun exploring different ways to problem solve with the new maths curriculum 😊
Both 2nd classes have begun literacy power hour twice a week and are enjoying reading, writing and word work stations.
Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,
We acknowledge that this has been another disruptive week for everyone. We were delighted to see all the kids again today. Their resilience is a credit to them and to you.
See FAQs following a long meeting with stakeholders and the Department last Friday afternoon, where Educate Together outlined the unnecessary stress and conflict that last week’s sudden announcement caused school leaders and chairpersons, and the need for a clear process for schools.
Upcoming
We have the Christmas Panto to look forward to at the end of next week, in class.
Reminder
Rainbows
We are starting our first 10-week Rainbows programme for children in GETNS after Christmas (COVID protocols all strictly followed). See the poster below for more information and to register your interest.
What is Rainbows?
Rainbows is a free, voluntary service for children and young people experiencing loss following bereavement and parental separation.
What does it look like?
Attending the programme provides children with an opportunity to meet with other children of a similar age and loss experience.
Is there more information for parents?

Entering and exiting school premises
Thank you for a great improvement on coming in the gate slowly allowing everyone some space. It feels much safer and we appreciate everyone’s efforts.
COVID Reminder
Due to the prevalence of other non-COVID related illnesses such as RSV, the HSE has recommended that children remain at home until they are free from any symptoms for 48hrs, regardless of a COVID negative test. Staying home if you are sick is the best way of keeping our school safe.
We thank you for keeping your children at home if they are displaying any symptoms.
