Reminders:
- School closure at 12pm on Friday, 14th March 2025 for staff training.
- School closure on May 7th for Maths training.
- If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them at home until they are feeling better.
- When dropping or collecting your child early/late to/from school please ensure you close the pedestrian gate securely on your way in and out of the school.

Both 2nd classes have begun literacy power hour twice a week and are enjoying reading, writing and word work stations.

Engineers Week
Junior Infants visit to Imaginosity
The children went on their first school outing to Imaginosity as part of Engineer’s week. Everyone really enjoyed the trip!
4th Class at ESB Science Blast in the RDS
On Wednesday 4th class went to the ESB Science Blast in the RDS as part of Engineers week. This is a national event to promote STEM at primary level. The children entered their project “how can you design a mode of transport that uses our Irish windy weather?”. The judges were very impressed with their research, knowledge, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
SciFest science workshops
As part of Engineers Week, we had great fun designing and building fan powered cars yesterday! Students had to identify factors which improved the speed and performance of the cars before testing them! Well done to all our very focused scientists.
World Book Day
Every class enjoyed a trip to our fabulous new library! Thank you so much to the hard-working library team who had it looking beautiful for today.
ALC blue have been reading ‘green eggs and ham’ by Dr Seuss. We wrote out the recipe and made delicious green eggs and ham for book day. We’re getting great at cracking eggs! Yummy.

GADRA sp(?) not GARDA
One of our parents is heavily involved in the Griffith Avenue and Districts Residents Association (GADRA). GADRA are very dissatisfied with the lack of consultation and the current plan to put a vent shaft in Albert College Park.
