Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Thank You

What a year this has been for all of us! Ups, downs, roundabouts, U-turns and we’ve survived it all, in fact we’re ending the year with an upbeat bang with thanks to our very successful Pride event. Huge thanks to our incredible staff for your endless energy and hard work. The partnership between staff and parents has never been so paramount and I genuinely thank whole heartedly how well you, the primary carers of the children have worked alongside us throughout the challenges this year.

We are ever grateful for the unending commitments of our wonderful PTA who continued to meet regularly throughout lock-downs and all, and who enhance learning opportunities for the children. Despite restrictions with thanks to the huge work of the Art Day committee we had another wonderful Art Day (see below and thanks Lisa). Thanks to the enthusiastic STEAM committee, we had a great Engineer’s week.

I wish to especially thank all of the parents from families moving on from GETNS after many years of contributing enormously to our school community. We will miss you and wish you lots of luck and love.

A number of families throughout the school are leaving us this year too and will be sorely missed. I think it’s fair to mention one individual in this category, by the power of Stephanie Woodhouse (and crew), we enjoyed perhaps the most successful Autumn Fair yet pre-COVID. We will miss all of these children and families moving onward also and wish you all the very best with exciting new ventures.  With change and challenge come great possibilities.

Art Day

Everyone really enjoyed all of the activities and stations on this year’s Art Day. A HUGE thank you to the incredible parents on the Art Committee & STEAM Committee who helped make this year’s reimagined Art Day as wonderful as ever! Take a look at our website post to see what we got up to! Art Day. Lisa

Pride Celebrations

Take a look at our website post sharing our Pride Celebrations, which includes a lovely video compilation! Thanks to our wonderful teacher Pádraig for organising & leading the celebrations! Pride Celebrations. Lisa
