Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Change of School Emblem

The school will be 20 years ag fás come September 2022. To mark the 20th anniversary the emblem of the school will be edited incorporating the image of the Heron. You will hear more about this soon.

Update

After a bumpy start to the term, we are delighted that nearly all our staff are back in school. We also have the additional support of Dolores, Niamh and Grace to assist staff at the moment. There have been several COVID cases across the classes (2 in Aisling’s 1st class, 3 in Jill’s 2nd class, 1 in Aoife/Oisín’s 3rd class, 5 in Maeve’s 4th class, 2 in 5th class, 1 in 6th class, 1 in ASD). Apart from Maeve’s class there has been little spread. We are constantly monitoring cases and notifying parents in their relevant pod/class when we are made aware of any new cases. Please ensure your child(ren) wears additional layers of clothing as we are trying to keep the classrooms as ventilated as possible. We’ve increased heating to endeavour to maintain the temperature in classrooms at least 16o. However, ventilation is key in preventing the circulation of viruses, along with the other measures in place such as hand washing/sanitising, sneezing etiquette, etc.  We are investing in additional CO2 monitors so there is one in each room and these will be used to assess the air quality.

Additional hours have been included to support the schedule of our cleaning team of three.

Frása na Seachtaine: “Cuir ort do geansaí”! – “Put on your jumper”!
