Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Reminder: Midterm Break 18th & 19th February

Feedback from Parents

Please click here to read an overview of the feedback received and thank you for your input. It is very helpful to get a sense of how you are getting on and to see if there are any amendments we can make to support you further. While the feedback is very positive, we have already begun to implement some changes in response to your feedback. As always please get in touch with the class teacher or relevant SET teacher if you have any concerns or queries.  Some parents have found this video helpful for uploading one response to Seesaw.

WOW (Work of the Week)

To help support with maintaining motivation and to celebrate a taster of some of the great work going on please see our new webpage with samples of super efforts by the children across the school. Keep up the great work – Maith sibh go léir!

Quote of the Week

‘Turn difficulties into learning opportunities’ – Albert Einstein

We are looking forward to welcoming the ALC back on site on 22nd February and currently working on reviewing our Covid Response Plan in line with recent documentation from the Departments. We are delighted that a number of the children are availing of the Supplementary Provision and aware that there are still a number of families seeking a tutor, get in touch if you know of anyone available.

Primary Language Curriculum (PLC)

Following on from staff training on the PLC this week, I’m sharing this link which is about supporting literacy at home. Have a look at the page on “Conversation Starters” which will be incorporated into teacher’s plans after the mid-term. You can support his learning at home by using the same “Conversation Starters” when reading with children or indeed just engaging in conversation.

It would be great to receive any feedback you have in relation to the Cyber Safety Talks delivered by Zeeko last week. We’d love to hear from children, parents and staff. Please email any comments, one line is better than nothing, to [email protected]
