And More!

Daniel’s JI having great fun exploring different ways to problem solve with the new maths curriculum 😊

Both 2nd classes have begun literacy power hour twice a week and are enjoying reading, writing and word work stations.

Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Overall, we are achieving the aim of avoiding congregation on entry and exit to school. Thank you for your continued cooperation with maintaining distance and entering and exit as and when requested.

Aside from safety which is our priority at the moment we are very happy with how well everyone has settled back into school onsite. From informal check-ins, people are feeling safe in school. We are preparing for the return of the remaining classes and very much looking forward to welcoming them back. Well done to all of you as you continue with remote learning and doing your best, you are doing really well, keep up the great work!

Engineers Week

Thanks to Sylvia and the STEAM committee for inspiring us all with great ideas to get stuck into Engineer’s Week. See Twitter for innovative marble mazes, catapults and other things designed, made and tried out this week. Thanks to Martin from the BoM who is pitching a presentation to 6th class on Engineering. As one interviewed Engineer advised “if you want to be an Engineer don’t be afraid to take things apart and put them back together again.”

World Book Day

I hope that everyone gets a chance to enjoy a good book at some time today. Thanks very much to Chris Judge well known author and illustrator who has brightened up our day by sharing his wonderful talents. Thanks also to the mystery readers among parents and staff who have read stories for the children. See Twitter for some of our book characters who arrived today!

WoW

Please see the WoW webpage for all the wonderful work completed in school and remotely this week.
