World Down Syndrome Day 2021
To help celebrate this year’s World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st), children and staff came to school on Friday rocking their most colourful and fun socks!
The ‘Lots of Socks’ campaign represents the extra chromosome that people with Down syndrome have and is internationally recognised to raise awareness about Down syndrome. The brighter, more colourful socks the better in celebration of people with Down syndrome and the many ways that they make our world brighter. Pupils learnt about Down syndrome; explored the similarities & differences we all have and how our differences make us special and unique.
