Reminders:

  • School closure at 12pm on Friday, 14th March 2025 for staff training.
  • School closure on May 7th for Maths training.
  • If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them at home until they are feeling better.
  • When dropping or collecting your child early/late to/from school please ensure you close the pedestrian gate securely on your way in and out of the school.

As per notice message earlier the Board have decided to close the school on Wednesday 14th and 21st October unless there is any change to the directives in relation to industrial action.

Senior Assembly

This month Aoife’s 5th class put together an assembly on Respect. Here are a few words from the class:-

  • “I though that making the assembly was really fun” – Matilda N
  • “I though that it was really funny at the end because we started signing early” – Luke
  • “I thought it was funny when Luke said ‘treat other people’s property like a newborn baby’” Scout

Autumn Fair Raffle – Sunday 18th October 2026

Road Safety Week

5th October to 9th October 2026. Thanks to parent volunteers for reminding everyone of our road safety policy each morning this week and for all motorists/cyclists/pedestrians for your cooperation. Tomorrow is the closing date of the poster competition, there are some very funny and colourful entries to date.

Nasal Flu Vaccine

We are delighted to be partnering with Rooney's Pharmacy Vital to offer all our eligible pupils the annual nasal flu vaccine. This vaccine is available free of charge for children aged 2 to 17 years. The clinic is being organised to make it easy for pupils to get their flu vaccine with minimal disruption to the school day. The vaccines will be administered on Thursday 15th October in school however, you must register your child's details and give consent by completing the form through this link:-

Booking closes at 3pm on Wednesday 14th October.

If you do not wish your child to receive the vaccine, you do not need to do anything.

Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí, As this is the final newsletter of the year I would like to say thank you to our dedicated staff, enthusiastic pupils and committed parents for another wonderful year here at Glasnevin ETNS. I wish everyone a restful and enjoyable summer and a happy return to school on Monday 31st August. We wish a fond farewell to our two 6th classes who have their graduation on Wednesday and wish them a great onward journey into 2nd level, we know they will make us proud.
