Child Protection Inspection

Round two of the inspection is happening on Monday and Tuesday. I will be in touch with the PTA seeking a few volunteers to meet with the Inspectorate.  Please click here to familiarise yourself with matters relating to Child Protection relevant to you as parents.

Peace & Justice

We are planning our value focus for the month of May on Peace and Justice. There’s more to follow soon.

School sport

The girls’ soccer team had their last match today in Albert College against Mother Divine Grace, they played so well and really came together as a team. Well done girls!

The boys’ soccer team also finished yesterday in a very close game.

The girls’ camogie team played their first game last week and had a very close game with Scoil an tSeacthtar Laoch and came out on top!



The boys hurling team have a match today at 2pm, fingers crossed.

• When dropping or collecting your child early/late to/from school please ensure you close the pedestrian gate securely on your way in and out of the school.
• School closed Friday, 3^rd May 2024

GETNS PTA Table Quiz

Saturday 27th April 2024 @ 8pm (Doors Open at 7.30pm)

Upstairs in the Mobhi Suite, Na Fianna GAA Clubhouse, Mobhi Road

Quiz night is almost upon us and a final call out to you, the school community to support this PTA fundraiser. Your response has been fantastic so far and it’s shaping up to be a great night.  With two sleeps to go, you can still help in the following ways:

Book a table and join us on the night

Email Lisa at [email protected] to book a table (4 people for €40). If you don’t have a full table or you get a last-minute opportunity to attend, please come along and we’ll make up tables on the night. You can pay for your table on the night itself, or in advance via Revolut – revtag @lisas2vhr  Please make sure to put your full name on the Revolut payment and state Table Quiz

Buy Raffle Tickets

Raffle tickets will be available to purchase on the night but if you can’t make the quiz, you can buy tickets for the raffle via Revolut – revtag @lisas2vhr One strip is €5, or three strips for €10. Please make sure to put your full name on the Revolut payment and state Raffle Tickets.

Round Sponsorship

Thanks to those parents and businesses who have generously offered round sponsorship already – we have three rounds in the quiz still available for sponsorship (€100). Quiz round sponsorship is an ideal way to advertise your business/company to our school community. Each round answer booklet is printed with the logo of your business and highlighted by the MC on the night of the quiz. For further details, please email [email protected]
