Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Safety while on Yard

Please use the paths when entering and exiting the school and remind children to do so also and when waiting to enter the classrooms.

The grass has become very muddy and as a result is slippy and being damaged. We will stay off it and allow it to repair.

We are reminding children to stay off the grass/mud during yard and would appreciate if you could talk to them about this at home too.

And More!

Liah’s 3rd class enjoyed making volcanoes for science week. Using baking soda and vinegar, they explored chemical reactions and watched their volcanoes bubble and erupt!

Paired reading with Jill’s Junior Infants and Gavin’s 6th class

Great learning about Mama Panya’s Pancakes (A village tale from Kenya) in Dee’s class over the last two weeks.  Great African Homes created, junk art and colouring creations. Dee

In 2nd class we learned about Kandinsky and did our own versions of his ‘Squares and Circles’ painting. Realtín

We have been enjoying using our Gaeilge in our ‘siopa’ during play in Alison’s Senior Infant class. The boys and girls are practicing writing their shopping lists ‘as Gaeilge’, as well. Maith sibh! Alison
