Art Day 2022

June 15, 2022

Art Day was back with a bang this year! It was wonderful to be able to hold our usual Art Day in all it’s splendour & magnificence, thanks to our fantastic Parent Art Committee, as well as all our wonderful parental volunteers who enthusiastically came on board!

We were so delighted this year to have music in the log cabin where each infant class had the opportunity to to meet the wonderful musicians, Ciara & Ger, learn about the instruments, the violin & the guitar, and sing along to some songs which they all loved! The rest of the pupils could pop in and out when they wished and had the opportunity to play the instruments too!

This year, each class worked on a whole school project, which was a stained glass effect piece of art for the library.

Sixth class students collaborated to create the wonderful design, which was transferred on to Perspex and on Art Day, pupils from the whole school coloured it in!

We were delighted to have a dance class this year too with super talented parents Sarah & Saoirse!

Below you’ll find a little taster of some of the other amazing things happening throughout the day. The imagination & creativity was truly inspiring and it was an incredibly memorable day for everyone. This year’s art day was particularly special after the craziness of the last two years. It is a testament to the hardworking and dedicated team of parents that the day was such a spectacular success and we are so grateful to everybody involved!
