Dear Parents and Guardians/A Thuismitheoirí agus a Chaomhnóirí,

Completed New Mission Statement

We are kind to ourselves and others, in school and beyond. Accepting each person as they are, we celebrate our individuality and our differences. We include and encourage everyone, working together to give all an equal chance, and a voice.

Each of us is responsible for keeping our school a safe, fun, and friendly place to learn, where we can all thrive. Glasnevin ETNS values nurturing positive relationships, being Active, Creative and making fair choices toward building a better world. Ní neart go cur le chéile.

Positive Behaviour Policy

And more! (see photos below)

ALC Blue have been working with ‘Alan the Artist’ as part of the Teacher Artist Partnership TAP over the last few months. TAP is an Arts in Education initiative where an Artist is funded to come into a school to work with a class. The students created some amazing sculptures and did lots of extra literacy work based on the project. Our lovely ALC parents were in to look at our great work on Tuesday.

You can check out our creative TAP journey in our digital portfolio (below).

Junior Infants had a wonderful trip to the Botanic Gardens. Many thanks to parent Ciara, who is the education officer there, for inviting us into the Viking House and explaining how the vikings used plants. We saw lots of signs of spring and the children were fantastic on walking to and from the gardens.

Mystery Readers
Junior Infants are loving having their parents visit the class as mystery readers this term and we hope to continue in term 3. If you are interested please let Sorcha or Daniel know.

Lisa’s Senior Infant’s wonderful clay pinch pot animal creations!

We had lots of fun doing our science investigation this week using different materials to make a boat that would float. Then we tested them to see how many marbles they could hold!
