Road Safety Awareness Week

As part of our Road Safety Week, Garda Martin kindly visited our school and discussed how to be safe on our roads with students from 2nd-6th class. Garda Martin spoke about how to be safe as a pedestrian, a cyclist & a scooterist! He emphasied how imperative it is to wear a helmet when cycling or scooting! As lots of our children walk, cycle and scoot to school this discussion was very important.

A huge thank you also to our wonderful parent volunteers who heped each morning and afternoon to monitor and direct traffic outside our school. We are very grateful as always for the support of the PTA with sending out daily updates to parents to highlight safe parking and speed in our school vicinity.

This will now be an annual event, with the whole school community being involved!
