Met Eireann have issued a STATUS RED wind alert for all of Ireland tomorrow. As a result the school will remain closed all day, Monday, 16th October. Please stay safe. I have sent texts via text a parent but these seem to be slow to get through as the system is probably dealing with texts from all the schools across the country. Please spread the word,

Le Meas, Róisín

Third class trip to Botanics for Tree Week

Third class visited The Botanic Gardens on Friday to celebrate Tree Week. We had a fantastic tour with a super guide where we found out lots of new information on different trees in the gardens. We were looking at the giant redwood trees, the trees in the rainforest and the oldest trees in the gardens, the yew trees. We looked at the succulents in the cactus house and learned about why different trees have developed different defence mechanisms.
