G.E.T.N.S. Opened in September 2002 under the name Dublin North Central Educate Together National School. We have pupils in all classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. We operate under the patronage of Educate Together. Our school is MULTI DENOMINATIONAL, CHILD CENTRED, CO EDUCATIONAL, and DEMOCRATICALLY run. These are the four principles which underpin all Educate Together schools.

We teach boys and girls together, we do not provide any religious instruction during the school day, our teaching methods are centred on children’s needs and we have a very high level of parental involvement in the running of the school.

In the second year of our existence, when we realised that we had four children, with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, on our pre enrolment list, we opened an Assisted Learning Class. This unit was opened by An Taoiseach, Mr Bertie Ahern T.D. on 1st September 2003.
Our Special Education Needs Organiser is Margaret Carroll.

Our Inspector is Margaret Dunning.

Yours Sincerely, Attracta Hayden, Principal
