School Garden ~ For Your Senses

If you have some time when dropping off your children in the morning you should stop by the school garden at the back of 3rd class in the main yard. In here you will find a range of different plants throughout the seasons. This garden also contains a small raised bog garden with native Irish plants, if you have never been to an Irish bog before then this is worth looking at.

It was decided in 2005 to revamp the space through the little red gate at the back of the main yard. This area had served as a green space but had gone wild with no proper structure. France Bowe took charge and got volunteers to give up weekends to build the new garden.
